Two Workers Fired After Nursing Home Abuse Investigation in Australia

An Australian nursing home has come under fire after reports that employees photographed a man’s genitals and did not offer food to a dying man. Two workers were fired after the nursing home conducted an internal investigation.
Police as well as the Department of Health and Ageing are investigating the nursing home, located in New South Wales.
A spokeswoman for the William Cape Gardens nursing home says representatives from the Aged Care Investigation Scheme have already investigated the nursing facility. She added that the allegations of nursing home abuse are being taken very seriously, and the initial claims of abuse were reported swiftly.
