Workers at a San Antonio, Texas nursing home are suing the facility saying they were fired for reporting nursing home abuse.
Two former workers at Princeton Place Rehab and Health Care Center say they were fired after reporting that workers at the facility were verbally and physically abusing residents.
The nursing home has declined to comment on the situation at this point.
A lawyer for the two former workers said Princeton Place Rehab and Health Care Center has a history of hiring abusive workers. She warns that if you have a loved one at the nursing home you should visit them often and check for signs of nursing home abuse or neglect.
It is always helpful when staff at a nursing home speak out on abuse or neglect; but sadly, this usually is not the case, and it is up to loved ones of nursing home residents to look for signs of abuse and report any suspicions to the authorities immediately.
Additionally, a nursing home abuse lawyer can help your family fight for justice if a family member has been abused or neglected in a nursing home.
