A recent article on a Texas news website discussed the negative impact tort reform is having on nursing home care. Due to tort reform that now caps the damages you can receive in a nursing home lawsuit, many lawyers are reluctant to take on nursing home cases and abuse and neglect is left unchecked.

A Texas nursing home abuse attorney is quoted in the article saying that the lack of Texas nursing home abuse lawsuits has led to a lot of injured people being left without adequate legal help.

The attorney is now representing two ex-nursing home workers who spoke out on the nursing home abuse they witnessed and were allegedly wrongfully terminated. She says the ex-employees witnessed physical and verbal abuse and neglect of patients at Princeton Place Rehabilitation and Healthcare.

The article encourages anyone looking for a good nursing home to check out the nursing home quality ratings online, talk to current residents about their care, and make frequent visits and unannounced visits to check on the care your loved one is receiving.
