A former nurse at Holiday Resort Nursing Facility in Salina, Kansas pleaded guilty to one count of consumer product tampering and one count of adulteration of a drug. The drug addicted woman admitted that she was stealing morphine from the nursing home and diluting containers of the pain killer with sodium chloride.

The deal that the woman made with prosecutors may send her to prison for three years and she will never again by allowed to work in the health care industry. She will be allowed to get out of prison early if she finishes a drug addiction treatment program.

The woman, an admitted drug addict, worked at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita in 2009 until she was fired for stealing painkillers.
