The former head of National HeathCare-Bristol nursing home in Virginia has had the license she lost after a nursing home abuse scandal reinstated but will not be working at the nursing home again. She had been working as an administrative assistant for the past year but lost her job due to budget cuts.

The former head of the facility lost her license when it was determined that she ignored complaints and did not do enough to stop the sexual abuse of four elderly residents by a male nursing aide. The former aide was sentenced to 60 years in prison.

The former head of National HeathCare-Bristol ran the facility for 15 years. The sexual abuse of four residents took place for 8 years from 2000-2008.

Please get in touch with a qualified nursing home abuse lawyer if you suspect a loved one is being abused or neglected in any way at a nursing home. Remember to be vigilant about the signs of nursing home abuse when you visit your loved one at his or her nursing home.
