The family of Carrie Delay has filed a lawsuit against the Motion Picture & Television Fund’s nursing home for nursing home abuse. The 89-year-old woman suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and fell off a stairwell landing at the nursing home, causing her eventual death.

Delay, who was wheelchair bound, broke her spine and suffered other injuries from the fall which led to her death a week later.

The family of Delay is blaming her death on the negligence of the nursing home and is seeking unspecified punitive damages.
