A former certified nursing aide at Golden Living Center nursing home in Pell City, Alabama was arrested for assaulting a resident. The aide was immediately fired after the abuse and faces one to ten years in prison and a maximum fine of $15,000.

The former nursing aide is accused of hitting a resident in the face and was indicted for Abuse of a Protected Person. Evidence of the abuse was presented to a St. Clair County grand jury by the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.
